Did you know that actress Ashley Madekwe has her own style blog, Ring My Bell? I haven't seen Revenge, but I'm a big fan of Ashley's, because her blog and style are top-notch! One of my readers agrees, because she asked me to recreate the look she found on Pinterest.
At your high school reunion, you could run into old friends, crushes, enemies, and frenemies - so you'll want to dress to impress. But I, for one, don't like to look like I've tried too hard. So here's a chic, sophisticated, but effortlessly cool outfit for a high school reunion.

Did you watch The Nanny back in the 90's? Fran Fine's wardrobe was kind of ridiculous, filled with the same 90's excess we saw on Lisa Turtle - but even crazier, if possible. Sequins, leopard print fur, bold prints, shoulder pads... all topped with that bushy teased 'do.
There are so many fun things to do outdoors in fall: apple picking, hayrides, corn mazes, etc. For these activities, you'll want to wear comfy, rugged clothes, but there's no reason why you can't look good while doing it!
For those of us with athletic or curvy calves, boot shopping can be a chore. There's nothing more frustrating than finding the perfect pair of boots only to find that they're too tight around the calves. Thank goodness for wide calf boots! Here are some of my favorites.
This is the perfect dress for the seasonal transition - it's lightweight and cool on its own, but would look adorable with tights, boots and a cardigan once the temps drop.
We all have that favorite summer dress, the cool, comfortable, and stylish frock that we love to wear during the hot months. But we can still wear our summer dresses in cooler weather with some smart layering and accessorizing. Check it out:
You may have seen a small Instagram photo of this outfit in my Old Navy post last week, but I wanted to feature the full look. I intended to wear this out to dinner with a friend in NYC, but we canceled due to a tornado watch (TORNADO WATCH! In New York!) so I wore it when I went out with my husband over the weekend instead.
I'm so happy that I can finally wear sleeves and pants again!
I can't believe I haven't featured Debbie Harry on the blog before! I've been a fan for thirty years now (my mom bought me a Blondie cassette when I was seven years old) and she's definitely one of the most important style icons of the latter half of the 20th century.
If you want to look like a disco/punk rock goddess like Ms. Debbie, well, I've got you covered!
I'm really excited for the first official challenge of Marshalls Fashion Face-off. To celebrate fall fashion, I've been tasked with styling a pair of booties from Marshalls, and really, what's more fall than a pair of booties in autumn's top color, burgundy?
And stay tuned, because after the outfit pics, there's a chance to win a $100 gift card from Marshalls, and you don't want to miss out, do you?
Here's what I put together. The Nine West booties were originally $110, but I snagged them at Marshalls for $60. The black cardigan was an old Marshalls find from a few years back, and I wear it to death every fall.
This large DKNY tote is the perfect carryall. It was originally priced at almost $400, but I got it at Marshalls for $130. Score! And the booties are so comfy and cute. I can't wait to wear them with everything in my closet!
Remember - this is a challenge against other bloggers, after all, and in order to win, I'm going to need your help! Please Tweet and Pin this post and the posts to come for a chance to win a $100 Marshalls gift card of your own! Every time you Tweet about my participation in the challenge or pin my Photo on Pinterest, you'll be entered for another chance to win the gift card. Are you sick of burgundy yet? I hope not, because it's the color of fall and it's not going anywhere. This is a great dress that can be worn to the office or to a cocktail party.
Owls have been the trendy fashion-y animal for quite a while, but now foxes are having a moment. If you'd like to include our vulpine friends in your everyday outfits, here are a few pieces for you, foxy lady!
Last week, I posted about these awesome coated skinnies from Target, which look like leather but are light, stretchy, and breathable. A commenter said that she liked the pants but wasn't sure how to wear them without looking like she was going to the club. So I promised to put together a casual, laid-back look featuring these pants. Although, if you want to rock them with a sequined tank and stilettos, knock yourself out!
